THREAD LIFT

Pattaya Thailand

The best way to get a face lift without the surgery is by thread lift. Recent advances in technique and material have made thread lifting the fastest and safest way to achieve a more youthful appearance without the high risk of cosmetic surgery. A thread lift can do what botox and filler cannot, which is lift the heaviest wrinkles and tighten the loosest skin. This procedure can help correct the most extreme signs of aging.

Threads are basically absorbable sutures, but much stronger and more durable than common stitches used in wound repair. The threads used in a thread lift must also be handled by a highly trained Doctor that understands the layers of skin of which the threads must be placed. This type of non-surgical technique is extremely detailed and requires advanced training. Thread lifting is NOT easily compared to procedures like botox which uses small needles.

WHAT CAN A

THREAD LIFT DO?

N

Instant Face Lift

Thread lifting is commonly called the non-surgical face lift. Threads are strong and can lift the heaviest wrinkles and loosest skin on the face. A full face lift by threads can take only 30 minutes – 1 hour when performed by a trained physician. Minor face lifting around the nasolabial folds or jawline can also be performed in a short amount of time.

N

Tighten Facial Skin

Wrinkles and sagging skin can be pulled tight with a thread lift. Threads come in a variety of sizes that can pull the face tight from the chin to temporals or the nasolabial folds to the cheeks and all in between. Thread lifting also gives the Doctor an opportunity to see the results and adjust as they insert each thread; unlike face lift surgery which can’t be adjusted once incisions are made.

N

Last a Long Time

Threads are made from long lasting materials that can take up to 2 years to dissolve. The results of thread lifting gradually get better and better as the threads break down overtime. Once threads are inserted, the inflammation process starts and new collagen production begins. Over the course of 2 years, collagen keeps getting built around the thread as the material slowly dissolves entirely.

PDO Thread vs PCL Thread

Comparing the different types of material that threads are made of.

PDO Thread Lift

PDO stands for PolyDiOxanone and this is one of the materials used in a thread lift. PDO is a safe material that our body does NOT reject and can easily absorb after dissolved. PDO threads were initially used in heart surgery and orthopedic tissue engineering because this type of thread is stronger than normal sutures and take a longer time to dissolve allowing tissue to heal better. After PDO threads are inserted into the face, the material eventually dissolves by hydrolysis – the presence of water – in approximately 200 days.

PCL Thread Lift

PCL stands for PolyCaproLactone and this is the newest type of material used in a thread lift. PCL threads are more flexible and not as stiff as PDO threads. PCL threads also have a more complex chemical bond that takes longer to dissolve when compared to PDO threads. PCL threads are great for thread lifts because they can flex and easily bend with our facial expressions. PCL threads can last more than 2 years and will eventually dissolve into a nontoxic substance that our body can easily absorb.

Thread-Lift-Mono-Thread-Type-Pattaya

MONO Thread Type

This type of thread is available in PDO thread lifts and are completely smooth which allow them to dissolve smoothly under the skin. Mono thread types are excellent starter threads for first time patients and primarily used to tighten skin that isn’t yet considered sagging but also not firm anymore. This thread type addresses the early signs of aging and the appearance of skin that has lost frame, shape, and the bounce it once had.

Thread-Lift-Screw-Thread-Type-Pattaya

SCREW Thread Type

This type of thread is available in both PDO and PCL thread lifts. The screw thread is ideal for moderate to extreme facial sagging because it focusses on connective tissue by providing a lot of lift in a compact design. The twisting of the thread stimulates stronger collagen fibers to grow under the skin and keep skin healthy. Swelling from screw thread types will normally disappear after 2-3 days from insertion.

Thread-Lift-COG-Thread-Type-Pattaya

COG Thread Type

This type of thread is available in both PDO and PCL thread lifts. COG thread has distinctive barbs on each side of the thread; similar to a herringbone pattern. This type of thread is the most popular because of the effectiveness when inserted into the subcutaneous fat layers. These threads are long and provide a strong heavy lift for extreme facial sagging or flabby facial skin. COG threads are key to performing the non-surgical face lift.

How Thread Lift Works

First, a highly trained physician must select appropriate thread types, lengths, and diameters to use according to each patient’s individual needs. Next, the Doctor will outline a pattern of lifting to create a grid of threads that can hold facial tissue together. Once thread materials are selected and pattern outlines are establish, the thread lift procedure can begin.

A small puncture is made with a trocar needle which allows access for the thread cannula. Threads are contained inside of sharp needles or blunt cannulas and inserted into the lifting pattern of the face. Once the cannula has been inserted into the right place, the Doctor will secure the anchor point of the thread by compressing the tip of the cannula inside. Once the anchor point has been secured, the Doctor will extract the cannula and place the thread inside. All of the threads are then placed according to the lifting pattern. Some patients use up to 100 threads for full face lifting; there is no limit to the amount of threads that can be used. Once all the threads have been placed, the Doctor will pull and adjust the lifting the pattern and cut off any excess threads. Stitches are NOT required and bleeding is minimal to none after procedure.

² Consult with Dr. Nuttamon Le Men MD, our Facial Design specialist. The doctor will give you honest advice and outline a treatment plan if a thread lift is right for you.

³ Our staff will summarize your procedure plan with pricing and appointment schedules. At this point, you can decide to accept the procedure and pay a deposit or only pay the consultation fee* for further consideration.

*Consultation Fees are 300 THB and due after consultation with the Doctor. Consultation Fees are waived with deposit payment or full payment on procedure plans.

Step-by-Step Procedures

Clear your schedule for 1 – 1.5 hours and relax in the treatment room. Minor thread lifting can be done as fast as 30 minutes with an appointment.

CLEANSING

Our therapist will clean your face with cleansing milk and remove makeup, creams, or any other possible contaminants. Next, we will perform Deep Oxygen Cleansing with specialized equipment. We want your face completely clean to the deepest pore prior to thread lifting.

ANESTHETIC CREAM

Numbing cream is applied to help reduce pain during thread lifting. Numbing cream contains a medical grade anesthetic called lidocaine that activates on the face after 10-15 minutes from being applied. Once the numbing cream has taken effect, the Therapist will clean the face once more and sterilize with alcohol.

SEDATIVE ANESTHESIA (optional)

Numbing cream will help reduce the pain, but patients have the option to be mildly sedated and experience no pain during the procedure. This type of anesthesia is injected into the veins and patients will be in a twilight state partially awake and asleep without feeling any pain. Sedative anesthesia is NOT included in the price of a thread lift. Additional fees apply for this type of anesthesia.

DESIGN MARKING

The Doctor will mark the lifting patterns on your face with a skin pencil. The therapist will hold a mirror for you to see the lifting pattern and review the plan with the doctor once again.

THREAD LIFT

The Doctor will gently insert all the threads according to the lifting pattern; sterilizing each insertion point with alcohol before placement. The Therapist will use cold ice compression on each area before insertion to help reduce the pain as well. Patients have the option to hold a mirror and watch the process or simply close their eyes and endure the procedure. Once all the threads have been placed, the Therapist will use sterilized gauze to stop any minimal bleeding points.

FACIAL MASK

To finalize the procedure, our Therapist will apply a soothing facial mask for 15 minutes. Included in the price of procedure is our standard Hya Collagen Mask. For an additional fee, patients can upgrade to a 24K GOLD MASK, GREEN TEA MASK, ALOE VERA MASK, or ROSE JELLY MASK.

After Care Instructions

We want the best treatment results possible! The following instructions will help maximize your results and minimize the risk of swelling and bruising.

♦ Swelling and bruising are normal side-effects. Use cold ice compression 4-5 times per day to help reduce swelling.

♦ The Doctor will prescribe you medicine for pain and swelling for at least 1 week. Tell the Doctor all the medicines you take because some medicines affect the blood and can increase the chance of bruising after treatment. The Doctor can tell you when it’s safe to start taking certain medicines again.

♦ Leave your face alone and avoid makeup, touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the face for at least 2 days to prevent dislodging the threads.

♦ Eat soft foods and do NOT drink from a straw for at least 1 week. STOP chewing gum for at least 2 weeks.

♦ Wait at least 2 weeks to exercise and use hot sauna. Strenuous activity can dislodge the threads and hot saunas can melt important anchor points.

♦ Sleep on your back with elevated pillows for at least 1 week. Avoid sleeping directly on your face laying down. This will minimize the physical pressure on your face and allow the threads to stay in place.

♦ Do NOT fly on an airplane for at least 1 week because elevated air pressure can make bruising and swelling worse.

♦ Do NOT get other skin treatments for at least 1 month. Avoid treatments that pull the face like facials, facial massages, and exfoliating scrubs. Threads need time to settle in place before other treatments can be done.

♦ Avoid the dentist for at least 2 weeks.
