BREAST IMPLANTS
Pattaya Thailand
The best way to achieve breast enlargement is with breast implants! Silicone or saline breast implants are placed under the breast tissue to increase the size of the breasts and change the shape of the breasts. Recent advances in surgical technique and implant material have made this procedure safer and faster to perform without the use of general anesthesia.

Breast implants are made from medical grade silicone or saline and have been FDA approved for aesthetic breast enlargement since 2006 in the US. Mentor breast implants and Motiva breast implants are two brands that have gained FDA approval in Thailand. FRESH MEDIQ only recommends the safest breast implants to qualifying patients and we only perform breast surgery with qualified licensed surgeons in our Pattaya clinic.
WHY GET BREAST IMPLANTS?
Look & Feel More Sexy
Men and women alike associate ‘bigger breasts with higher sexual desires’ (study article). Breast enlargement makes a more sexy appearance, but it also creates that feeling of being sexy when looking in the mirror or receiving head-turning attention in public.
Gain Self Confidence
29% of women are dissatisfied with their natural breast size and 47% of women want larger breasts (study article). A negative self conscious about breast size can impact mental health and create a problem with intimate relationships. Breast implants can correct these problems by improving self confidence with breast enlargement.
Correct Asymmetry
Breasts are not always naturally balanced and symmetrical. Unfortunately for some women, each breast can be different sizes. Breast asymmetry becomes noticeable when they differ in size by one or more cup sizes. Breast implants can correct this problem by augmenting only one breast or augmenting both breasts with different size implants to achieve symmetry.
Reshape After Pregnancy
The effects of pregnancy and breast-feeding can cause initial swelling in the breasts and then deflation, which decreases volume. Before pregnancy, breasts are firm and perky. After pregnancy, breasts can become saggy and deflated. Breast implants are a great way to reshape a more youthful look and take the body back from the effects of pregnancy.
Remodel From Weight Loss
During weight loss, the body burns fat from areas with a lot of fatty tissue, such as the breasts. As a result, breasts can become smaller than before and saggy from loose skin. Weight loss can improve the overall appearance of the body, but breasts implants will improve the appearance of breasts after the effects of weight loss.

Silicone vs Saline
Comparing different types of breast implant material
Silicone Breast Implants
Silicone breast implants are made from a polymer gel, which is medical grade thermoplastic that does NOT cause human allergies or adverse reactions. Similar to gummy bear candy, the molecules of silicone gel adhere together and are sticky. Silicone breast implants are softer and have a youthful firmness that creates a more natural look and feel. Silicone breast implants are the most commonly used implant type around the world today and perfect for overall enlargement.
Saline Breast Implants
Saline breast implants have an outer shell made of silicone and are filled with a saline solution. Saline is medical grade saltwater, similar to biological fluid in the human body, and completely safe. Smaller incision can be made for saline breast implants because the shells are filled-up AFTER they have been implanted. Saline breast implants are firm and can cause wrinkles under the skin but these implants are great for overall enlargement, reconstruction after mastectomy, or correcting asymmetry.

How Breast Implants Work
The chest muscle most important in a breast augmentation is called the Pectoralis Major Muscle, also known as the pec muscle. This muscle extends from the arm bone near the shoulder and attaches to the chest wall near the midline. How breast implants are placed in relation to this muscle is very important in determining the final long term results of a breast enlargement.
Breast implants can be placed in front of the muscle but most surgeons prefer to place the implants under the muscle and this is called a sub pectoral placement. It’s important to note that breast implants placed under the muscle are never completely covered by pectoral muscle. The lower part of the implant will slightly extend below the border of the muscle.
Now, for plastic surgeons, a sub pectoral implant placement is referred to as a Dual Plane Type 1 Technique. The placement of an implant in a Dual Plane Type 1 Technique follows several steps:
First an incision is made in or near the lower breast inframammary fold. The lower end of the pec muscle is then identified and detached from the chest wall; this detachment will make room for the implants. But keep in mind the pectoral muscle still remains attached to the overlying breast tissue so the implants won’t retract or move too far after placement. Next a pocket is created under the muscle, which needs to match the size of the chosen implant. Once the pocket is created the implant is inserted for final placement and the incision is sutured closed.
During the recovery process, the lower breast curve or under-boob can sometimes appear very tight and flat. This depends on each persons natural anatomy and can sometimes have a slight groove within it; this groove is referred to as a double bubble. Overtime, the implants will settle, the breast tissue will soften, and the double bubble will smooth out and disappear; resulting in successful breast enlargement.

Before Breast Surgery
Day of Breast Surgery
Clear your schedule for the day and relax with us in the clinic. Change your clothes and put on our comfortable surgical gown. You can keep your personal items in safe storage locker here in the clinic. Now, let’s take some measurements!
First, we will perform a 3D body scan using Crisalix Virtual Aesthetics. This innovative software will create a 3D rendering of your breasts before the procedure and we can even simulate what your breasts will look like after the procedure! Next, we will take high quality photos in our studio so we can see the incredible before-and-after results of your breast enlargement! Finally, our nurse will complete a Pre-Operative Checklist with you and make sure your body is prepped and ready for the procedure.
1 – 2 Weeks Before Breast Surgery
Complete Pre-Operative Tests with us in-Clinic and at another hospital. We require a basic blood test, EKG report, and chest x-ray summary prior to surgery.
Unfortunately, we do not have an EKG machine or X-Ray machine like the hospital, but these tests are important to unsure your safety. Please complete an EKG and Chest X-Ray at another hospital and send us the results within 1 week before surgery for the Doctor to review. The basic blood test is already included in the package price and we can manage that in-Clinic. We can also help coordinate which hospital you can use for the EKG and Chest X-Ray.

After Breast Surgery
Day of Breast Surgery
Immediately after the procedure, please rest in our comfortable recovery room for 1-2 hours. Our nurse will stay by your side and make sure everything is fine. When you feel ready, you can return home for more rest and recovery.
Take home medicine will be prescribed to help you recover for the next 1-2 weeks. These medications will help relieve pain, reduce swelling, and prevent any chance of infection. You can follow-up in-Clinic with the nurse for wound cleaning after 1-2 days. The Doctor will follow your progress and help further advise you after each day as well.
1 – 7 Days After Breast Surgery
Relax and spend your time sleeping. You will experience soreness, mild pain, and fatigue so take it easy. You can remove the gauze, dressings, and compression bra after 2 days and take a shower. When showering, face AWAY from the water and don’t let the water splash directly on the breasts. After showering, be sure to continue wearing the compression bra. Wearing the compression bra is very important during the first week after surgery and maybe useful to have at least 2 compression bras.
1 – 2 Weeks After Breast Surgery
Wait at least 10 days after surgery to return to your normal routine. You will feel much better and stronger after 1 week but you should still take it easy. Do NOT lift, push or pull anything heavier than 2 kg. Do NOT exercise, increase your heart rate, or raise your blood pressure. The wound should be healed by 10 days and any stitches can be removed.
3 – 4 Weeks After Surgery
You should be fully recovered. Gradually increase your activity but still remain cautious to lifting, pushing or pulling anything heavy. You can stop wearing your compression bra but do NOT wear a wire bra for at least 2 months after surgery. Do NOT go braless for at least 2 months after surgery. Wear a support bra to help keep the breast implants in position and adhere correctly to the breast tissue.
* Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions or conerns.
Possible Complications
This is NOT a complete list of all possible complications after breast augmentation:
Delayed Wound Healing: The incision site fails to heal normally or takes longer to heal.
Redness & Bruising: Bleeding at the time of surgery can cause the skin to change color. This is an expected symptom due to surgery, and is likely temporary.
Asymmetry: The breast size, shape or levels are uneven in appearance.
Implant Rippling: Wrinkling of the breast implant that can be felt or seen through the skin.
Deflation: Leakage of saline solution from a saline-filled breast implants. Could be caused by a valve leak, a tear or cut in the implant shell.
Sensation Changes: An increase or decrease of feeling in the nipples and/or breasts. This can vary in degree, might be temporary or permanent.
Hematoma: This is a collection of blood near the incision site. May cause swelling, bruising and pain. The body can absorb small hematoma, but large and ongoing hematoma may require surgical draining.
Calcification: Hard lumps under the skin around the implant. These can be mistaken for cancer during mammography but can be removed with additional surgery in extreme cases.
Capsular Contracture: The breast tissue can harden around the implant. This is possible in one or both breasts which can cause tissue to tighten and cause pain.
* Patients are required to read and sign an Informed Consent prior to surgery.
